i want to read something she wrote about michael jackson .There are several online newspaper write this but i wonder it is truly said by her

It’s on myspace. Google "Lisa Marie Presley blog" and it’s the first thing that pops up. You can read it without a myspace account, also. It’s titled "He knew". It hurts to read it–you can feel her pain.

Their services are free to the people. I am not a member of one of these sites yet.
If they aren’t making money, how can they afford to provide their services to millions of users worldwide? What’s the point? I don’t think someone would do that just for fun.
goldy k, how do the bigger companies lure younger generation to make money for them?

Hi Mystic Paradigm.
Become a member of one of those social networks and you will see how they make money.)
Firstly FaceBook makes money via its Advertising program. If you have a web site or a company you may create a FaceBook page and advertise it on a CPC basis. So Facebook earns money from allowing its members to advertise their companies or web sites. Secondly FaceBook makes money from selling "Gifts" to members. If you want to congratulate someone you may send him a gift. You pay for a virtual gift normally it’s a picture of a toy or anything else. Thirdly FaceBook earns money from investors. As far as I remember Microsoft invested about $250 millions.

There are a lot of other ways how to monetize a social network web site. No one will share this kind of information and you need to "dig" it by yourself.)

Regards, Tim.

This is a complete serious question, and when you answer, please say if you are a parent or a teen.

I am a teen, and like most teens I have a myspace that I made years ago. After about a year of having it, my mother made one so she could check up on me. I am now almost 17 years old, and she quotes things I have on my myspace or asks about the people that comment me. I can’t say what I want on there because she’ll read it, and question me about it. I decided to make a facebook a few months ago. She made one, and friend requested me. I ignored her, and she just told me that if I don’t accept her, she’ll block facebook. I have exactly 34 friends on facebook. I don’t see why she needs to check up on every webpage I’m on. I am a very good kid, I hang around a good crowd, get good grades, i’m not rebellious, etc.

Do you think it’s okay that she’s checking my myspace and facebook all the time or do you think I need my privacy? Oh, and how can I convince her to lay off my myspace and that I don’t need to accept her on facebook?

**Bonus that you don’t have to read:
Because I never have privacy on the internet, I have made a youtube, twitter, blog, tumblr and deviantart all that she doesn’t know about because I desperately want my privacy with something.

yeah my friend had that happen to her so she accepeted her parent & made another account & only uses the second one

What the heck is twitter?

Posted by admin in twitter on blog

heard a guy on the radio say you could reach him at his blog or twitter
wow, I wish I had that much time during the day to keep updating people about my life!

twitter is a social networking site.. kind of like facebook and myspace (not entirely)
on twitter you can create a profile and use status updates to tell other people what you are doing… most people use twitter as a means to promote themselves or their business.

MySpace and Facebook make money by selling advertising on the site. If you’ve ever been on either site, you’ll see many ads across the top of the page or in the margins. Facebook also sells e-gifts (or they did at one point) that users can send to their friends.

Twitter doesn’t have advertising, so I’m not sure, at the moment, how they earn money. I know that it has been a criticism against the site from those saying that they’re limited in their long-term success, considering they have no way of paying back investors at the moment.
