Is there a way to send my twitter updates to my tumblr blog?
yes there is using ping.fm, this application also lets you cross promote over 40 social networking platforms lickedy split.
I use a app called hootsuite that grabs RSS feeds, manages multiple accounts and then I send them through ping.fm
type once send out and get tons of traffic in seconds.
ok i don’t understand…if twitter is a blog…can anyone read it? cuz i don’t want some stalker following me…can you add people like on facebook? Do you have profiles? can you decline people? So confuseddddd!
To answer your question
1) Twitter isn’t really a blog, it’s just to talk to people in a text message length type conversation.
2) Not everyone can read it, you can change your security settings so that only people you allow to look at your profile can look at it.
3) You can add and decline "friend" requests just like you do on facebook or myspace.
4) Yeah, you have profiles.
Yeah, it’s okay it’s kinda confusing at first, but I’m just wondering, why is this in the singles and dating section?

Get tumblr to post to twitter but get twitter feed off tumblr?
I’ve got a blog on twitter i’m pulling into another site. I have the tumblog linked to twitter so when i post on tumblr it tweets about it. However, now there is the hideous twitter feed in the middle of the tumblr sidebar that I can’t seem to get rid of. When I go to customize the blog it doesn’t show up, but when I view the blog there it is. Any help on getting that to now show up but still post from tumblr to twitter?

However, if your customize button does work, you may want to try to check your html on your tumblr, by going to customize, theme, enable custom Html.
Then search twitter with ctrl+F and where it says:
// enter your twitter username if you want it to display your most recent status.

if your twitter is there leave delete it, to look like this

that should stop posting tweets on your tumblr.
Make sure to enable tumblr to tweet your posts,

that way you can post to twitter, but twitter wont show up on tumblr (:
